What is urgent care and how does it work?

Urgent care centers are intended to treat patients that need proper medical attention fast, but do not need to visit an emergency room. Urgent care centers are open longer than standard primary care centers and do not require an appointment to visit.

What insurance cards do you accept?

At Wyandotte Urgent Care we accept most insurance plans. Please check the list to see if we accept yours. If you don’t see your insurance on this list, please call us at 734 299 0712.

What insurance plans do you accept?

Wyandotte Urgent Care is committed to providing affordable healthcare and participates in most major insurance networks. Please call your insurance provider to verify coverage and know that we offer affordable self-pay prices for patients with high deductibles and patients without insurance.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

At the time of your visit, please bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and payment in the form of cash or credit for any co-pays or co-insurance.

What will I need to pay upon checking in?

Medical office visits are highly competitive*. Ask us about our local and Canadian resident discount of up to $30 dollars**. We are community based and promise to work with those with financial hardships.

*Urgent care Michigan average is $141 and ER visit average is $1,273.

Do you accept self-pay patients?

Yes. Wyandotte Urgent Care offers affordable self-pay rates in an effort to make high quality healthcare accessible to everyone, regardless of their insurance plan or lack thereof.

What conditions do you treat?

With on-site labs, EKGs and Digital X-rays, Wyandotte Urgent Care is able to offer a wide range of expert medical care. Visit our clinics for Urgent Care and Employer Health services. We also provide STD screening, Sports and Camp physicals, and more.

What are the qualifications of your medical staff?

We have a team of licensed doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and technicians available to help care for you when you need it most.

How do I know if I need Urgent Care or the ER?

If you think that your medical condition is life threatening, you should be seen in a hospital emergency room and should call 911. The ER treats life threatening medical conditions, such as chest pains, severe wounds or amputations. Urgent care centers are intended to treat patients that need proper medical attention fast, but do not need to visit an emergency room.

Do you provide X-rays at your facility?

Yes. Our urgent care includes state of the art X-ray equipment. We provide free, board certified radiology reports in less then 30 minutes on average for all x-rays! This is rare to find in most urgent cares and much faster than most Emergency Departments in the country.

What will I find at the Wyandotte Urgent Care center?

Wyandotte Urgent Care prides itself on keeping a warm and welcoming environment for its patients. Wyandotte Urgent Care centers include many private treatment rooms. Our urgent care centers include state of the art equipment at all locations. All of our treatment rooms are given the proper aesthetic attention to offer comfortable, pleasing experience. We want you to get well immediately!

Do I need an appointment for urgent care?

No. You never need an appointment to visit Wyandotte Urgent Care center. We see all patients on a walk-in basis.

How long should I expect to wait for my appointment after checking in?

The average wait time at Wyandotte Urgent Care is less than 30 minutes and an entire visit on average is less than 1 hour.

Does Wyandotte Urgent Care follow up with patients?

We are happy to have you follow-up with us if medically necessary and you are unable to see your primary care provider. We are here and available for you 365 days a year in person and by phone.
